A bold entrepreneur from Tyrnavos, Dimitris Migas, continuing his family tradition of cultivating the vineyard, distilling tsipouro and making wine, which lasts for at least four generations, in 1999 he made an impressive investment, making a modern winery, which is open to visitors and contributes the most to the local area’s wine tourism.

EARLY 20TH CENTURY

The Beginning

Miga’s family begins cultivating the vineyard and distilling tsipouro.
1997

Planting new vineyards

with the varieties Black Muscat of Tyrnavos and the French Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.
1999

The construction of the new winery begins

at the location “Paleos Ampelos” of Tyrnavos
2001

1st bottling

of wines with the label “Paleos Ampelos”
2003

Expansion of the winery

acquisition of new equipment and completion of cellar’s construction
2010

Increase of production volume

due to the acquisition of new state-of-the-art stainless steel wine tanks but also with upgrades to our laboratory.
2016

Bottling of the 1st Semi-sparkling Wine

with the variety Black Muscat of Tyrnavos due to the acquisition of the appropriate equipment.

2017

The beginning of the last expansion of the winery

with the addition of new building facilities with a total area of 7200 sq.m.

As part of the agricultural industry, we fully depend on our surrounding, just as it depends on us. That’s why we grow our produce organically and sustainably. Over the past decades the carbon footprint of the winery has been positive, which is something we’re really proud of.
